Volunteer Program:Benefits of Volunteering
1. Opportunity to meet Chinese children and to experience day life in Chinese communities and to develop friends ships with those who live, work and play there.
2. Get a taste of the real China in Yangshuo in Guangxi Province, An area famous for China's most beautiful limestone karts scenery, rivers, Caves and temples and the bustling city of Guilin.
3. Accommodation and meals are provided for free to volunteers by some school, but some school will charge it by minimum cost.
4. Only 2-3 hours/day work load to grantees you a comfortable life style in China.
5. To facilitate lesson planning, teaching materials and books are available.
6. Official Letters of Invitation to assist with obtaining a Chinese Visa. Volunteers are NOT required to have more than a tourist (L) visa.
7. Official Volunteer Identification cards and badges are provided for volunteers teaching a week or more..
Volunteer Program:When to come
We are happy to have volunteers come to Yangshuo at any time throughout the year. However, there are a few times in the year where volunteers will not be needed, and this is during the examinations, national holidays, and festivals.
The non-volunteering periods are as follows (dates may vary from year to year, please confirm before coming) :
During July and August, our aim is to develop volunteer summer schools depending on the number of volunteers during these months. So please contact us in advance if you plan to be in Yangshuo at this time of year. ■ |
