Buckland International Education Group is officially registered in both Hong Kong and Mainland China. Buckland’s business runs mainly in the fields of school operation, educational management, educational research, educational project development, educational cooperation, and international cultural exchange. It is comprised of several divisions, such as: EFL Teacher Training Center, Owen English College, Chinese College, Hainan Boao International Training Center, Volunteer English Teacher〈V.E.T〉Program and Buckland Bilingual Education Research Center.
In cooperation with China’s Bilingual Education Research Institute, the Buckland Group has been actively promoting bilingual education experimentation in China for several years now. With Buckland's plethora of foreign teachers, the Bilingual Education Research Institute launched the Primary and Secondary Education Research Center in 2009 with the Buckland Group, which greatly improved the scope and breadth of the bilingual education experimentation. By the year 2010, Buckland has delivered bilingual education to over 100 schools in 19 provinces, such as Guangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejian, Jiangsu, Shandong, Shangxi, Shanxi, Gansu, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Chongqing, which has brought these schools internationalism and increased Chinese students’ bilingualism. Since its foundation, the Buckland Group has imported over 500 highly qualified foreign teachers, experts and over 1000 foreign volunteers to assist China’s bilingual education development. In recent years, the Buckland Group has also held over 40 separate training sessions for foreign teachers and bilingual Chinese teachers, which provides sufficient teacher resources and training foundations for bilingual education among our secondary schools, high schools and colleges.
The 21st century is the century of globalization, both in knowledge and economically. With China's ascension to the WTO, its internationalization is speeding up and international cultural integration had become an irreversible trend. Buckland’s strives to ensure China’s synchronous development with the pace of the international community, and strives to integrate international educational resources and to import educational professionals into China to bring it to the fore of bilingualism.
